August, 2007 - The Sandrey family is proud to announce the appointment of David Dicken as the Vice President of Resort Operations of the Chesapeake Beach Resort. With David’s return, he brings over 25 years of experience as an owner, operator, and executive within the hospitality industry. Having served as an executive with Home Star Inns Inc, The Peninsula Group, and as a Director for The Cendant Corporation he brings the professionalism, attention to Guest comfort, and training background to deliver the very best  in guest service. David has been involved with the Monroe County School System where he received the coveted Gold Zone Award for Education from the State of Florida and has been active in community governments and service organizations though out his career. November, 2007 - The Chesapeake Beach Resort is proud to announce that it has been selected to be a feature property on the national television show GREAT ESCAPES on both WE and CNBC stations with rebroadcasts on national affiliates throughout the country.  GREAT ESCAPES features selected locations and properties that offer exceptional escapes, comfort, and enjoyment for travels and vacationers. The airing is scheduled for late summer or early spring.
